Job Accountabilities
- Play a critical role in the identification and improvement of data quality issues across assigned data sets.
- Work with stakeholders to define business data quality rules.
- Drive and embed the data quality framework to track, monitor and control the quality of the data used by the business.
- Identify the root cause of data quality issues through targeted data analysis.
- Make recommendations to address quality issues and ensure they are resolved quickly.
- Play an active part in the development and delivery of data management processes.
- Review the analysis performed by Data Quality reporting team to conduct all required data quality scenarios and controls mitigates the issues.
- Ensure that the controls applied effective and efficient.
- Play a supporting role in embedding effective data governance within the organization.
- Utilize the Data Quality Issue Management process aligned to Data Governance issue management requirements to ensure the right decisions are made.
- Work closely with data owners, data users and data custodians (IT) to ensure the root cause of reported data issues is understood and underlying problems as well as associated symptoms are resolved.
- Establish & maintain Data Quality Scorecards to pro-actively monitor and report on data quality too relevant stakeholders.
- Conduct data profiling to support data activities across the Bank.
- Deliver data quality improvement initiatives as defined, agreed and prioritized.
- Creation and maintenance of documentation relating to designed processes and procedures.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree of Computer Science, commerce, business administration or its equivalent.
- 2-5 years of experience in Data Field for the analyst
- Excellent command of English language (Read / Write).
- Good in analytical abilities and problem solver.
- Information chain analysis and management.
- Root cause analysis.
- Well known of data quality management platform (Data standardization, Data monitoring, Data cleansing, Data profiling and discovery, Data migration and Data integration).
- Well known of data quality dimensions (Accuracy, Completeness, Consistency, Timeliness, Validity and Uniqueness).
- Well known of any of Data Quality tools like (Informatica Data Quality tool or SaaS Data Quality tool or DQS…etc.).
- Well known of Data Management tools like (MS SQL Management Studio, PL/SQL Developer, Toad …etc.)
- Well known of ETL Tools like (Informatica Power Centre, SSIS …etc.).
- Well known of reporting and BI tools like (SSRS, Power BI, Tableau …etc.).
